Single membership
- Membership is open to the entire public to persons of known incomes and good character.
- Membership application cards /forms are available at the SACCO office upon request by any person (s) willing to join.
- Photocopies of either a new member’s valid identity card, passport, voter’s card, driving permit, national identity card or any other relevant identification should be deposited with the SACCO. Original copies of any identification should be presented as proof. In addition, introduction letters and recommendations from local councils of residence should be presented. Three (3) passport size photographs are a must on entry. One passport size photograph for the next of kin is a must on entry.
- A member shall be issued with a passbook bearing his/her membership number to be kept by him/herself while a membership application form and ledger card shall be kept by the SACCO.
- Membership termination, suspension, penalties or expulsion shall be in accordance with Chapter 3 of the society’s bye laws.
Institution Memberships
- The copy of the minutes with the resolution by the stake holders to join the SACCO.
- Copies of The Certificate of incorporation or Certificate of registration.
- Copy of Memorandum of Association.
- Copy of Articles of association.
- Names and photographs of directors.
- The mandate of the signatories.
- A list of all members / owners of the institution.
Single Child Membership
- This is an account of a single member who is between the age of one (1) day to seventeen (17) years of age.
- Parents or guardians who open up such accounts for the child will be the caretakers and signatories to these accounts.
- For the children who open up the accounts by themselves, they will be signatories.
Joint Children Memberships
- This is a joint account of members between the age of one (1) day to seventeen (17) years .
- The number of members shall not exceed three (3).
joint Adult memberships
- This is a joint account of members from the age of eighteen (18) years and above.
- The number of members shall not exceed five (5).
